Account Manager, Intermediaries – Geneva

About the role

Julius Baer is hiring an Account Manager for Intermediaries in Geneva (100% position). The Account Manager takes ownership of account administration, documentation and day-to-day operational tasks affecting client accounts, including order placement, handling client requests, executing trades and supporting the team. Unlike the Relationship Manager, the Account Manager has no own client book and works closely with the RM to reach out to clients where appropriate.

Key responsibilities

• Support RMs and the team in client interactions, answer incoming calls and maintain records of client instructions, details and preferences
• Create system-based reports for RMs and provide clients with factual information, without giving advice or opinions
• Handle and execute client requests by processing orders, trades, transactions and payments outside e-channels
• Manage internal projects affecting RM client relationships, keeping systems and documentation up to date
• Share information and ideas with colleagues to improve processes, plan ahead, document work and propose improvements
• Act as first line of risk defence by raising concerns, following up on issues and escalating them when necessary, while fully complying with compliance, legal and internal rules

Required profile

• Proven track record in servicing banking clients with complex needs, including onboarding and maintaining relationships
• Familiarity with the Middle East's legal and regulatory environment and cultural awareness
• Excellent organisational skills, able to work swiftly and independently under pressure
• Proactive, friendly, team player and highly service-oriented
• Strong integrity, ethics and risk awareness
• Advanced knowledge of global financial markets and industry developments

Required skills

• Fluent French and English (oral and written); additional languages are an asset
• Very good MS Office skills
