Head of Private Banking – Geneva

About the role

A recruitment mandate has been received to find a senior Private Banking professional to lead the development of an established Geneva-based Private Banking platform. The successful candidate will take responsibility for two existing teams of about ten people and accelerate the growth of the franchise in Geneva. This is a highly commercial leadership role combining personal business development with the ability to lead and develop an existing team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop two existing Private Banking teams.
• Drive the acquisition of new HNW and UHNW client relationships.
• Use a strong personal network across Geneva's entrepreneurial and wealth ecosystem.
• Set a clear commercial ambition and mobilise the teams around it.
• Build relationships with entrepreneurs, major families, executives, lawyers, tax advisers, trustees, family offices and other key introducers.
• Identify opportunities beyond an existing portfolio and create new sources of business.
• Represent the Private Banking franchise within Geneva's senior business and professional community.

Required profile

• Substantial experience in the Geneva financial centre.
• Strong Private Banking background, ideally within a universal bank or a broadly based banking institution.
• Demonstrated track record in acquiring new client relationships and new assets.
• Hunter mentality and entrepreneurial approach.
• Established network in Geneva and deep knowledge of the local economic and professional ecosystem.
• Credibility with HNW and UHNW clients.
• Experience leading, developing or commercially animating teams of Private Bankers.
• Seniority and presence to represent the franchise with leading Geneva decision-makers.
