Accountant – FIFA Subsidiaries

About the role

Join FIFA’s Finance team in Zurich and take ownership of end‑to‑end financial operations for multiple FIFA subsidiaries worldwide. You will ensure accurate accounting, statutory compliance and support finance transformation initiatives across a complex, multi‑currency environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, invoice processing, payment runs and reconciliations for entities in several countries and currencies.
• Prepare statutory reports, including financial statements, VAT/GST, corporate and withholding tax filings, working with external advisors.
• Execute monthly and year‑end closing activities: journal entries, accruals, balance‑sheet, bank, payroll and intercompany reconciliations.
• Support external, internal and project‑related audits.
• Contribute to finance transformation projects such as SAP implementations, expense‑tool rollouts and corporate card programmes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Hands‑on experience with tax, statutory reporting and intercompany accounting.
• Proven ability to manage multiple entities and priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Business apprenticeship, degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant professional certification.
• Fluent English; additional FIFA language (French, German or Spanish) is a plus.
