Accountant – Finance Officer (Geneva)

About the role

We are seeking an autonomous and hands‑on Finance Officer to join the Swiss subsidiary of a leading international professional services firm in Geneva. The role combines accounting, treasury, tax and billing responsibilities to ensure smooth financial operations in line with local regulations and group policies.

Key responsibilities

• Post and monitor accounting entries including payroll, accruals, fixed assets, invoices and bank transactions.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable, process expense claims and support inter‑office billing and reconciliations.
• Monitor bank accounts, perform reconciliations and maintain relationships with banking partners.
• Prepare regular financial reports (receivables, activity, WIP) and maintain monthly financial indicators such as working capital and compliance tracking.
• Handle VAT filings on a quarterly and annual basis and liaise with external service providers.
• Support the billing process from preparation to issuance and provide client statements as required.
• Assist with month‑end closing, cash‑flow forecasting, budgeting and coordinate with auditors and external advisors.
• Respond to internal finance‑related requests and ensure adherence to group policies.

Required profile

• Accounting qualification (e.g., Brevet de Spécialiste en Finance & Comptabilité, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• Relevant accounting experience, preferably within an international professional services environment.
• Fluent in English and French.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting systems.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
