Accountant – Financial Institution

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join a reputable financial institution based in Geneva. The role involves handling day‑to‑day accounting activities across multiple entities while ensuring compliance with Swiss regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bookkeeping entries, bank reconciliations and accounting controls.
• Process invoices, payments and expense reports.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support monitoring of cash positions and treasury‑related activities.
• Manage accounting activities for multiple entities and structures.
• Coordinate with external fiduciaries, auditors, tax advisors and banking counterparts.
• Maintain accounting records, documentation and filing.
• Ensure strict confidentiality and adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1 to 4 years of experience within a fiduciary, trust, private bank or family office in Switzerland.
• Exposure to multi‑entity or international structures is a strong advantage.
• Solid understanding of Swiss accounting principles.
• Reliable, discreet, proactive and capable of handling confidential information.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
