Financial Accountant – End‑to‑End Group Accounting

About the role

This position is with a Geneva‑based commodity trading group and offers full ownership of the accounting cycle for multiple group entities. You will handle everything from daily bookings to the preparation of IFRS financial statements, providing a broad view of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Bookkeeping for group companies, including invoice booking, payment requests, cash handling and bank reconciliations.
• Manage intercompany interest calculations, monthly reconciliations, settlements and clearing‑house account reconciliations.
• Perform month‑end and year‑end closing for all entities, preparing IFRS, Swiss statutory and management financial statements.
• Conduct analytical reviews of balance‑sheet and P&L items and lead the annual audit process.

Required profile

• Degree in accounting, finance or a related field; professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, Swiss Certified Expert or French DEC/DSCG is a strong advantage.
• Minimum three years of hands‑on experience covering the full accounting cycle in industry, an audit firm or a multinational environment.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS with the ability to illustrate standards through concrete examples.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Strong technical accounting skills, particularly IFRS application.
