About the role
Lonza is seeking an analytical laboratory technician to provide support to R&D and production at its Visp site. You will work in ISO and GMP environments, handling product identification, quantification and method development.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine analytical tasks such as product identification and quantification.
- Develop and validate test procedures and support release testing for production.
- Assist the Optical Spectroscopy team (IR, UV/VIS, optical rotation) with equipment cleaning and method development.
- Collaborate closely with research, production, occupational safety and quality assurance colleagues.
Required profile
- Completed training as a biology or chemistry lab technician or a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology or biotechnology.
- Initial experience in an ISO and/or GMP environment.
- Self‑motivated, responsible, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to communicate in German and basic English or French.
Required skills
- Good working knowledge of MS Office.
- Experience with Bruker software (plus ACD Labs is a plus).
