Apparel Designer – Technical Outdoor Clothing

About the role

Mammut is seeking a passionate Apparel Designer to create innovative, high‑performance alpine clothing that resonates with our customers. You will lead the design process from concept through to final product, ensuring technical excellence, functionality and style.

Key responsibilities

• Design category‑leading alpine apparel that sets new benchmarks in performance, functionality and style.
• Drive the end‑to‑end design process, producing detailed specifications, workmanship documentation and style sheets.
• Translate seasonal colour cards into cohesive, commercially viable collections.
• Present and communicate design concepts clearly to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the creation team on fabric selection and prototype fittings.
• Research macro and micro trends, consumer insights and target‑group needs to inform design direction.

Required profile

• University or recognised diploma in fashion, apparel or sportswear design.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in apparel and functional outerwear design.
• Strong understanding of design methodologies, research‑driven development and emerging market trends.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Independent, detail‑oriented and proactive work style.
• Team player with a consumer‑centric, creative mindset.
