Application Integration Engineer

About the role

Julius Baer is seeking an experienced Application Integration Engineer to develop and operate its global Financial Messaging Infrastructure. You will design integration solutions, ensure platform stability and availability, and drive automation within a DevOps‑oriented model.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and operate enterprise integration solutions using IBM ACE and IBM MQ.
• Ensure availability, security and performance of the bank's global financial messaging infrastructure.
• Design, implement and maintain messaging services, queue managers and integration flows.
• Collaborate with business and application teams to deliver reliable, scalable integration services.
• Troubleshoot complex messaging and integration incidents across application and Linux environments.
• Drive automation, monitoring and continuous improvement, managing deployments, upgrades and platform lifecycle activities while complying with regulatory and security requirements.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience with IBM ACE and/or IBM MQ on Linux.
• Experience in financial services and familiarity with SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022 and FIX standards.
• Strong knowledge of operating and securing mission‑critical messaging platforms (HA/DR, SSL/TLS, performance tuning, monitoring).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder‑management skills in English.
• Team player with experience in international environments and willingness to participate in on‑call production support.
