About the role

As the Area Business Manager for Switzerland, Austria and Liechtenstein, you will lead the regional sales organisation, drive growth, optimise territory coverage and enhance the customer experience across the DACH‑I region.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop the sales team to achieve sustainable growth and strong customer orientation.
  • Define and execute regional sales and growth strategies based on market and performance analyses, and own forecasts.
  • Identify new market opportunities, acquire new customers and deepen relationships with existing accounts, partners and key accounts.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Service and other internal stakeholders to ensure optimal customer experience and deliver targeted campaigns, events and business‑development activities.
  • Analyse market and competitive trends and implement measures to increase market share and profitability.
  • Ensure efficient use and continuous improvement of CRM, reporting and sales processes.
  • Promote regional cooperation and knowledge sharing with Area Business Managers in Germany and Italy.
  • Work with the General Manager on budget planning, forecasts and mid‑ to long‑term sales strategy.

Required profile

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales management or business management, preferably in a technical or scientific environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience managing cross‑functional teams (sales, technical support, service, inside sales, marketing).
  • Strong commercial mindset combined with strategic thinking and execution capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while covering a diverse territory.
  • Fluent in German and English; French is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (≈ 50 % of the time).
