Assistant Restaurant Manager - Ottolenghi

About the role

Mandarin Oriental, Geneva, within its Ottolenghi restaurant department, is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager. The role supports the Restaurant Manager in running the restaurant smoothly, ensuring service and customer satisfaction according to quality standards, HACCP hygiene standards and hotel procedures, and supervises a team of around twenty employees.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in developing schedules based on planned activity
• Use the Infrasis POS system, train and assist servers in its use and apply the necessary controls
• Assist subordinates in service and visit customers during their meal to ensure satisfaction
• Forward customer comments on food and service to the Restaurant Manager and Chef Ottolenghi
• Handle specific customer requests and customer complaints
• Build customer loyalty through good interpersonal skills
• Follow the Mandarin Oriental principles set out in 'Our Commitments'

Required profile

• Passion for service and attention to detail
• Previous management and service experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment preferred
• Team spirit, curiosity and a desire to learn and grow
• Good communication skills and a flexible attitude
• Fluency in English and French; another European language is a plus
• A valid Swiss work permit or EU passport
