Associate Director / Director FP&A EMEA

About the role

Reporting to the VP, Finance EMEA, the Associate Director/Director, FP&A will support Scholar Rock’s EMEA organization, partnering with cross‑functional stakeholders to drive financial planning and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance partner for EMEA revenue and OPEX planning, supporting budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning and scenario modeling.
• Build and maintain patient and revenue models, ensuring accurate assumptions for direct and partner markets.
• Partner with EMEA Accounting on month‑end/quarter‑end close, procure‑to‑pay processes and external reporting.
• Deliver monthly budget‑to‑actual analyses, variance analysis and management reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes and adopt new tools, systems and ways of working.
• Provide training and change‑management support for new FP&A tools across the organization.
• Support ad‑hoc strategic initiatives such as business development analyses, partner support, portfolio prioritisation and financing strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of progressive finance experience in pharma/biotech; advanced degree in science or business preferred.
• Proven experience partnering with Commercial and/or Medical teams in a cross‑functional environment.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for complex financial analysis.
• Experience with Adaptive Insights and/or SAP.
