Associate Director, Global Medical Affairs – Rare Haemato‑Renal Disorders

About the role

Join Novo Nordisk’s Rare Disease team in Zurich as an Associate Director in Global Medical Affairs, focusing on rare haematological and renal disorders with an immunological component. You will shape scientific strategy, support product development and launch, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and contribute to the global medical affairs strategy for pipeline assets targeting complement‑system‑related haematological and renal diseases.
• Provide medical leadership for development, regulatory submission, launch planning and pharmacoeconomic assessments.
• Create educational materials and support affiliates in scientific dialogue and launch preparation.
• Execute evidence‑generation projects and update the Therapy Area Evidence Strategy.
• Represent Novo Nordisk with key opinion leaders, study centres, patient advocacy groups and health authorities.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor, PhD or PharmD degree with experience in immunology, rare bleeding or rare renal disorders.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the clinical/pharmaceutical industry, preferably in global or regional medical affairs.
• Demonstrated launch experience and solid commercial and business understanding.
• Proven ability to lead scientific communication with external KOLs and societies.
