Avionics & Electrical Engineer

About the role

EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg is looking for an Electrical/Avionic Design Engineer who will design cabin-related and avionics systems for transport-category aircraft. The role works independently on system designs and supports the modification and commissioning of electrical and avionics systems for cabin completion and modification projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design environmental control, in-flight entertainment and cabin management, communication and computer networks, satellite communication, power generation and distribution, galleys, seats, smoke detection, oxygen systems, water and lighting systems.
• Prepare system specifications, service definitions, layout drawings, block and wiring diagrams, item and wire lists, installation instructions, ground and flight check procedures and compliance documentation.
• Select equipment, components and materials and liaise with vendors, suppliers and test facilities.
• Cooperate with the Avionic and Electrical Services Department, the Office of Airworthiness, and mechanical production and design engineering.
• Develop electrical wiring diagrams in Visio and engineering standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years' experience; electronic/electrical engineering degree or similar qualification required.
• Aviation and design engineering experience is advantageous.
• Good English, German and/or French is advantageous.
• Time management, pro-active teamwork and dedication to quality, reliability and safety.

Required skills

• MS Office (Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• CAD literacy
