Back-End QA Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Back-End QA Engineer to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and performance of a high‑traffic backend platform. The role combines manual and automated testing, focusing on API, data, and transaction‑level validation, and works closely with backend engineers and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute test cases from business requirements, functional specs, and user stories to achieve full backend coverage.
• Perform end‑to‑end testing of transactional workflows, from initiation through authorization, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Conduct API testing with Postman, verifying request/response integrity across services.
• Validate data accuracy using SQL queries on relational databases.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites with Playwright for regression and continuous testing.
• Log, track, and manage defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps and evidence.
• Run regression and exploratory testing after deployments, identifying edge cases, risks, and performance issues.

Required profile

• 4+ years of manual QA/testing experience with a strong focus on backend, API, and web applications.
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright for automation.
• Proficiency in API testing tools (Postman) and test‑management tools (TestRail or Zephyr).
• Solid SQL knowledge for backend data validation.
• Understanding of STLC and Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience in iGaming, Fintech, payment, banking, or other transaction‑heavy systems is a plus.
