BI Data Engineer – Business Intelligence (Fribourg)

About the role

Our client, an international company based in Fribourg, is looking for a Business Intelligence Data Engineer to join the team on‑site. The role will support and evolve the company’s BI ecosystem – including the data warehouse, SSRS and Tableau reporting platform – while providing cross‑functional support to headquarters and subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain SSRS and Tableau reports and dashboards, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Provide user support and manage access for BI tools across headquarters and multi‑country subsidiaries.
• Develop and evolve the data warehouse (schemas, tables, views, data marts) and maintain ETL/SSIS data feeds.
• Contribute to cross‑functional data projects such as Agro Repository, Industry Report, IBM PA, ArcGIS, and initial data integration and governance initiatives.
• Coordinate with development, infrastructure and cybersecurity teams, reporting progress, risks and trade‑offs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in BI/Data Engineering, including report development and data‑warehouse work.
• Experience in a multi‑entity or multi‑country environment is a plus.
• Fluent French (native) and English at C1 level.

Required skills

• SSRS and Tableau report development.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL Server.
• Data‑warehouse modeling and evolution.
• ETL development using SSIS or equivalent tools.
• Familiarity with ERP environments and data‑quality/governance concepts.
