Bilingual Accountant (French & English)

About the role

Batgroup is seeking a dedicated Accountant fluent in French and English to join its Finance team. You will manage day‑to‑day accounting activities, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and support the company’s growth across the full accounting cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and ensure proper recording of all transactions.
• Process supplier invoices, employee expense reports, and customer billing; manage payments and follow‑up on receivables.
• Perform regular bank, credit‑card and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close, including accruals, pre‑payments and journal entries.
• Prepare and file Swiss VAT returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations and Swiss accounting standards (Code des obligations).
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements, management reports and ad‑hoc analyses.
• Identify and implement improvements to automate and streamline accounting processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent Swiss qualification (Brevet Fédéral or CFC).
• 3‑5 years of proven accounting experience, preferably in a fast‑paced corporate or startup environment.
• Fluency in written and spoken French and English; German is a strong asset.
• High level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously, handle confidential information and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of Swiss accounting principles (Swiss OR).
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
• Hands‑on experience with modern ERP or accounting software (BI a plus).
