Business Unit Controller – Manufacturing

About the role

VAT Group is seeking a Business Unit Controller to lead financial activities for one of its manufacturing business units. You will act as a strategic partner to BU management, ensuring accurate reporting, budget control, and financial sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the annual budget for the business unit, monitoring adherence and recommending adjustments.
• Prepare periodic financial reports, including variance analysis and KPI tracking.
• Control operational costs, ensure compliance with cost allocation methodologies, and drive corrective actions.
• Support investment evaluations, business cases, and financial feasibility studies for new projects.
• Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights for strategic planning.
• Drive process improvements and maintain data quality across financial systems.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Controlling or a related field.
• At least 5 years of controlling experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on mentality, strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP system (advantage).
• Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI (advantage).
