Factory Controller

About the role

Alfa Laval is seeking a dynamic and detail‑oriented Factory Controller to join its Finance team in Allschwil, Switzerland. This newly created position will drive financial improvements, support supply‑chain optimisation and help shape smarter work processes across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Analyse financial performance and deliver actionable insights to management.
• Prepare and follow up on cost‑benefit analyses to support supply‑chain optimisation initiatives.
• Contribute to monthly, quarterly and yearly closings, ensuring quality control over transactions and reporting.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, manage approvals, month‑end closing and forecasting.
• Explore and implement digital tools (ERP, D365, Power BI, databases) to streamline financial reporting.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of finance experience in an international environment.
• Relevant education in Accounting and Finance.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); French is a strong plus.
• Data‑informed decision‑making mindset with strong analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 (ERP system).
• SQL/APEX for digital reporting.
• Power BI, including AI capabilities.
• Standard costing and cost‑roll tools in a manufacturing setting.
