CAD Design Engineer – SolidWorks (Pharma Equipment)

Join an innovative Swiss engineering company that creates high‑precision equipment for the pharmaceutical and life‑sciences sectors. As a CAD Design Engineer you will turn complex customer requirements into manufacturable products, working within an agile, multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and customise mechanical components and assemblies to meet specific customer specifications.
• Translate requirements into 3D models, detailed drawings and technical documentation using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.
• Collaborate with process and engineering specialists to embed operational parameters into optimal designs.
• Modify existing products, identify optimisation opportunities and support continuous improvement.
• Guide products through the full development lifecycle—from concept and detailed design to validation, industrialisation and production transfer.
• Coordinate with external manufacturing partners to ensure successful fabrication and assembly.
• Ensure designs comply with quality standards, GMP principles and engineering best practices.
• Participate in technical reviews, design validation activities and cross‑functional projects.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in sterile manufacturing or fill‑and‑finish processes.
• Degree or apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Polymechanics or a related field.
• Proven experience as a CAD Design Engineer in mechanical or process equipment.
• Familiarity with regulated environments (pharma, biotech, medical devices) and GMP principles.
• Ability to produce and review technical documentation and engineering drawings.

• SolidWorks (or equivalent 3D CAD software).
