Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for AI‑Driven Hedge Fund

About the role

We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead the technology function of an AI‑driven hedge fund headquartered in Zurich. The fund manages $2 billion in assets and is scaling its proprietary AI trading strategies. You will head a small, elite, Russian‑speaking engineering team composed of former Big‑Tech engineers and world‑class advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the technology roadmap to enhance research capabilities and investment strategies.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a high‑performing IT team, fostering innovation and collaboration.
• Oversee development of sector models, data pipelines, and integration of machine‑learning algorithms.
• Lead AI/ML initiatives, including processing unstructured data and training custom large language models.
• Ensure scalability, security, and performance of all technological systems.
• Collaborate closely with equity and sector analysts to translate research into digital solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a CTO or senior technology leader in international big‑tech companies (e.g., Meta, Google, Apple, Amazon).
• Strong background in AI, machine learning, and large‑scale data processing.
• Experience building and leading high‑performing engineering teams.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, startup‑like environment while maintaining rigorous investment standards.
