CISO / Head of IT Security (Hybrid)

About the role

Ikerian AG is seeking a senior leader to define and drive its information security strategy. The CISO / Head of IT Security will protect digital assets and ensure data privacy across the company’s medical device software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the company‑wide information security strategy and roadmap.
• Oversee IT infrastructure to guarantee scalability, reliability, and security.
• Lead compliance initiatives for ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA and GDPR.
• Manage risk assessments, vulnerability testing and incident‑response processes.
• Supervise procurement and management of hardware and software for a distributed workforce.
• Promote a security‑aware culture through training and policy development.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of experience in information security leadership, preferably in healthcare or finance.
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field; certifications such as CISSP or CISM are a plus.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Cloud security architecture on AWS.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA and GDPR compliance.
• Expertise in risk assessment, vulnerability testing and incident response.
