Cloud Data Engineer (French speaking)

About the role

We are looking for a French‑speaking Cloud Data Engineer to join a leading financial services client in Geneva. The role focuses on designing, building, and operating modern cloud‑based data platforms that support trading and market data workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Spark, PySpark and DuckDB.
• Develop and maintain data lake and data warehouse solutions with open table formats such as Apache Iceberg.
• Leverage AWS services (Glue, S3, Lambda, EMR) or equivalent cloud offerings to process and store large data sets.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and versioning tools (Liquibase) to ensure reliable deployments.
• Integrate streaming and messaging technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, SNS/SQS) where required.
• Collaborate with trading teams to understand FIX and market‑data models and translate them into robust data solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in cloud data engineering.
• Fluent French and strong English communication skills.
• Strong interest in financial markets and trading data.
