About the role

PathoMatch AI is seeking a visionary Co‑Founder who will serve as Lead Clinical Microbiologist and Precision Medicine Architect. Based in a hybrid setting between St. Gallen and Zurich, you will drive the clinical validation of AI‑generated pathogen‑to‑treatment matches and shape the company’s scientific strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret AI‑derived “phagograms” and genomic matches to approve personalized phage cocktails for Swiss magistral preparations.
• Collaborate with the AI team to identify age‑accelerating pathobionts and design microbiome‑tuning protocols for longevity applications.
• Act as the primary liaison with Swissmedic and hospital laboratory directors to standardise a 24‑hour matching workflow.
• Oversee quality control of synthetic phage recipes, ensuring sterility and endotoxin levels meet intensive‑care standards.
• Contribute to the company’s regulatory strategy and scientific roadmap as a co‑founder.

Required profile

• PhD or MD in Clinical Microbiology, Infectious Diseases or a closely related discipline.
• Experience working in a Swiss clinical laboratory is highly desirable.
• Passion for applying next‑generation sequencing and AI to replace conventional susceptibility testing.
• Interest in microbiome‑based longevity interventions and familiarity with information‑theory concepts of aging.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clinicians, pharmacists and bio‑hackers.

Required skills

• Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and genomic data interpretation.
• Phage therapy formulation and quality‑control procedures.
• Regulatory liaison experience with Swissmedic.
• Bioinformatics and AI platform integration.
