Commercial Development Officer

About the role

The Commercial Development Officer will lead the expansion of a premium travel brand into the UK and Northern Europe. Based in Switzerland, you will shape go‑to‑market strategies, build sales channels and forge partnerships to strengthen market positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute commercial strategies to grow market presence across the UK and Northern Europe.
• Identify sales channels, market opportunities and brand growth drivers, turning insights into actionable plans.
• Support creation and implementation of go‑to‑market models, including sales, distribution and marketing partnerships.
• Build and strengthen commercial foundations by establishing sales networks, partnerships and distribution structures within the travel industry.
• Collaborate with international teams (sales, finance, marketing, digital, operations, revenue management) to align expansion initiatives.
• Establish direct‑to‑consumer opportunities via digital platforms and optimise customer touchpoints.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and consumer behaviour to provide strategic recommendations.
• Lead large‑scale commercial projects, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with business objectives.
• Support the creation of a local commercial team and operational structure.

Required profile

• Several years of leadership experience in a commercial role within travel, tourism, leisure, hospitality or related industries.
• Proven track record developing sales structures, distribution channels, partnerships or expanding brands into new markets.
• Strong project management experience with large‑scale initiatives and operational improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with senior leaders and external partners.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, solution‑oriented approach and focus on execution.
