Commodity Buyer – Castings

About the role

We are looking for a Commodity Buyer specialized in castings to join our purchasing team in Bulle. You will manage a portfolio of suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost‑effective sourcing for our engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Daily management of a purchasing portfolio, including price updates and administrative tasks.
• Analyze the portfolio, sort offers, and maintain up‑to‑date pricing.
• Source suppliers, issue RFQs, negotiate prices, and manage contracts and long‑term agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance, draft reports, and conduct business reviews.
• Identify and mitigate supplier‑related risks, handle crises, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate supplier evaluations with the quality management department and support audits.
• Drive cost‑reduction initiatives and follow up on their implementation.
• Seek technical solutions to achieve design‑to‑cost objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, economics, management, project management, or purchasing.
• 1–2 years of buying experience in automotive, construction equipment, aviation, or railway sectors.
• Proficiency in French, German, and English.
• Strong analytical abilities, organization, flexibility, and teamwork orientation.
