Compliance Officer – AML Transaction Monitoring Specialist

About the role

Alpinum Solutions is seeking an experienced AML Transaction Monitoring Specialist to join the second line of defence for a leading financial services client in Zurich. This 3‑month hybrid assignment focuses on detecting and reporting suspicious activity across traditional and crypto assets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct enhanced reviews, investigate unusual account activity and prepare Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in line with Swiss regulatory requirements.
• Execute risk‑based transaction monitoring alert reviews and investigations for both traditional banking and crypto‑related transactions.
• Collaborate with Legal, Risk and Front‑Office teams to optimise monitoring rules and stay abreast of emerging financial‑crime typologies.

Required profile

• 2–4+ years of AML/Financial Crime experience within banking, including transaction monitoring, alert review, SAR drafting and investigations.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss AML regulations, FATF recommendations and EU AML Directives; experience with private banking and cross‑border transactions.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
