Controller – Full Country P&L (Switzerland)

About the role

This position is responsible for the full profit and loss of the Swiss operations of a large, decentralized retail/consumer group. The Controller works closely with on‑site managers and Group finance leaders, turning data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly and year‑end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Analyse actual performance versus budget/forecast, identify drivers of variance and develop KPI dashboards.
• Partner with local management and Group Controlling to provide financial input for operational and strategic decisions.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, continuously improving methodology, tools and processes.
• Support investment projects by building financial business cases together with Business Development.
• Enhance controlling processes, promote automation and enforce Group Controlling standards across the country.

Required profile

• Native German speaker (Swiss German a strong plus).
• Comfortable handling large, complex data sets from many decentralized points of sale.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to engage with site managers up to CFO level.
• Proactive, outgoing and comfortable with fieldwork and direct interaction.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with SAP.
