Cyber Security Contractor – Remote (6 months)

About the role

The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) is seeking a Cyber Security Contractor to enhance the security, stability and efficiency of its public websites and supporting infrastructure. This 6‑month remote assignment will work under the supervision of the Information Systems Officer/Technical Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure UNDRR public web platforms comply with UN ICT security standards.
• Mitigate risks to public‑facing systems and improve operational efficiency.
• Manage and configure Apache virtual hosts and Linux shell scripts.
• Administer web application firewalls in production environments.
• Test and validate Drupal security advisories and conduct penetration testing.

Required profile

• Diploma or certification in Computer/Information Systems or Computer Science.
• Minimum 8 years experience in back‑end website/application development with a focus on application security.
• At least 4 years experience in cyber security.
• Fluency in English (French optional).
