Data Platform Engineer – Full Stack

About the role

As a Data Platform Engineer – Full Stack you will design, build, automate and maintain Debiopharm’s core data platforms, enabling secure, cloud‑native data management and analytics across the organization. You will own global platforms end‑to‑end in a GxP environment, providing first‑line support and evolving into a System Owner.

Key responsibilities

• Develop production‑grade frontend and backend code for automation, integrations and internal tooling using JavaScript, TypeScript, Svelte, C#, Python, Go and PowerShell.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps, manage version control, testing, deployment and documentation.
• Maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Bicep as the single source of truth for all environments.
• Support the central data repository and pipelines feeding analytical solutions from Medidata and other clinical sources.
• Own SAS Viya 4 on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), automate deployments, upgrades and provisioning.
• Administer Medidata platform – user access, configuration, releases and vendor coordination.
• Implement observability, monitoring, logging and alerting; enforce cloud security (Defender for Cloud, CNAPP) and FinOps best practices.
• Produce CSV documentation (IQ, OQ, etc.) and follow GxP SOPs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, CKA/CKAD) are a plus; willingness to obtain them.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes/container orchestration.
