Deskside Support Technician

About the role

The Deskside Support Technician provides end‑to‑end technical assistance for desktop and laptop environments in a B2B freelance setting. Working on‑site in Rolle, Switzerland, you will ensure smooth operation of end‑user devices, handle critical escalations and maintain compliance with security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and peripheral devices.
• Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities and break/fix tasks.
• Manage the full device lifecycle: configuration, OS imaging, patching, and vendor hardware replacements.
• Use SCCM, Intune and ServiceNow for asset tracking, ticket resolution and remote assistance.
• Install, update and patch approved software in line with IT policies.
• Provide remote and deskside support for Microsoft Office, Outlook, VPN clients and other EUC tools.
• Enforce security protocols, antivirus monitoring and desktop policy compliance.
• Act as primary onsite contact for VIP users during critical incidents.
• Support Active Directory tasks, basic user account management and smart‑hands assistance.
• Document incident resolutions, hardware inventory and technical guides.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and French.
• Available for on‑demand, 1‑year freelance engagement.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work independently on‑site.
