Desktop Support Engineer – Basel

About the role

Excis is looking for a proactive Desktop Support Engineer to join its on‑site team in Basel. You will be the first point of contact for end‑users and executives, delivering high‑quality support while ensuring SLA compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site desktop, printer, and AV equipment support for all users, including VIPs.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network incidents from start to finish.
• Lead PC refresh projects: staging, deployment, data migration, de‑commissioning and asset updates.
• Maintain accurate asset records and documentation.
• Educate users on self‑service tools and promote remote resolution.
• Collaborate with server, network and data‑center teams as a hands‑on liaison.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of technical support experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• A+ certification or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Active Directory.
• Experience supporting executive‑level users.
• Fluent in German and English.

Required skills

• Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 administration.
• macOS support and hybrid Windows/Mac environments.
• Microsoft Office suite proficiency.
• Remote support tools (RDP, VNC, Apple Remote Desktop).
• Virus/spyware removal and root‑cause analysis.
