DevOps Engineer

About the role

Blockstream is looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate secure blockchain and digital‑asset infrastructure for enterprise and institutional clients. The role sits within the Service & Enterprise Solutions team and works closely with Solution Architects, Delivery, Product and Engineering groups.

Key responsibilities

• Build and operate cloud infrastructure for blockchain platforms across banking, custody, payments and digital‑asset environments.
• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing and release management.
• Deploy and manage infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation or Pulumi.
• Operate containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes, and manage hybrid, multi‑cloud and on‑premise environments.
• Implement security hardening, secrets management, encryption and access‑control mechanisms.
• Set up monitoring, logging and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack or CloudWatch.
• Support production deployments, go‑live activities and incident response.
• Collaborate with architects to ensure compliance, security and architectural standards.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, SRE or infrastructure operations.
• Hands‑on experience building and operating infrastructure in fintech or other regulated environments.
• Strong background with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure and/or GCP a plus).
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or ArgoCD.
• Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash or Go.
