Digital Design Engineer - ARM Cortex SoC Integration

About the role

A high-tech engineering team developing advanced embedded and electronic systems is looking for a Digital Design Engineer specializing in ARM Cortex-based SoC integration. You will design, integrate, verify and implement System-on-Chip architectures based on ARM Cortex processors, integrating complex IP blocks into SoC platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and integrate ARM Cortex-based SoCs (Cortex-M, Cortex-R, Cortex-A) and define SoC interconnects (AMBA AXI, AHB, APB)
• Integrate third-party and proprietary IP cores such as DDR controllers, DMA engines, Ethernet, PCIe, USB, SPI/I2C/UART
• Develop and maintain RTL code in Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL, support FPGA prototyping and ensure timing closure
• Create verification plans, simulation environments and test benches, and debug complex hardware issues
• Support embedded board design, including processor integration, high-speed interfaces, power and signal integrity, and board bring-up
• Take part in design reviews, share engineering best practices and guide colleagues on digital design and SoC integration

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in digital IC, FPGA, ASIC or SoC design
• Proven experience integrating or developing ARM Cortex-based SoCs and complex embedded hardware platforms
• Full hardware development lifecycle experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, autonomous and able to work across hardware, firmware and software teams

Required skills

• ARM Cortex architectures (Cortex-M, Cortex-R, Cortex-A) and complete SoC integration
• RTL design in Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL; AMBA AXI, AHB, APB
• FPGA development (Xilinx, AMD, Intel/Altera) and digital simulation and verification
• Nice to have: ASIC flows, UVM, ARM TrustZone, RISC-V, PCIe, Ethernet, DDR4/DDR5, embedded Linux or RTOS, and safety standards such as DO-254, IEC 61508, ISO 26262
