Dining Worker – On‑Call at Sabor Food Court

About the role

This on‑call position with Retail Branded Concepts supports the Sabor outlet in the Crossroads Food Court. You will be the front‑line representative, helping guests with purchases, food and drink orders, and ensuring every interaction reflects the university’s commitment to outstanding Spartan experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers with food and beverage orders, promote current promotions, and address guest concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation through daily rounds, post‑shift cleaning, and adherence to food safety standards.
• Prepare and serve food items as assigned, following all relevant safety regulations.
• Operate the cash register/POS system and follow cash‑handling procedures.
• Stock displays, manage inventory using FIFO practices, and move supplies between retail sites.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and support special events or athletic venue services.
• Lift up to 25 lb, stand or walk for most of the shift, and perform frequent bending or squatting.

Required profile

• Ability to work on‑call schedules and handle a fast‑paced food‑service environment.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with a focus on delivering positive experiences.
• Physical capability to lift, stand, walk, bend, and squat throughout the shift.
• Basic cash‑handling experience and comfort using a POS system.
