Dining Worker – Retail Branded Concepts (Holmes Hall)

About the role

The Dining Worker supports the Retail Branded Concepts operation at The Nucleus in Holmes Hall. You will be the front‑line representative, assisting guests with food and beverage purchases, handling orders, and delivering the university’s Outstanding Spartan Experiences (DOSE) in every interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers with food and drink orders, promote current specials, and address guest concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the site through regular rounds and end‑of‑shift cleaning.
• Prepare food items according to food‑safety standards and guidelines.
• Operate the cash register/POS system and follow cash‑handling procedures.
• Stock displays, manage inventory using FIFO practices, and move supplies between retail sites.
• Troubleshoot equipment or operational issues and report them to supervisors.
• Support special events, athletic venues, and the Ag Pavilion as needed.

Required profile

• Ability to lift and move up to 25 lb and stand or walk for the majority of the shift.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with a positive, professional attitude.
• Team‑player who communicates effectively with supervisors and peers.

Required skills

What we offer

• Hourly wage starting at $14.73, increasing to $16 on 09/08/2026.
