Director - Procurement Transformation

About the role

KPMG is seeking a senior leader to drive procurement transformation for its clients in Switzerland. You will shape and execute strategies that redesign procurement operating models, integrate cutting‑edge technology, and improve end‑to‑end processes.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire and lead procurement engagements aimed at transforming the Target Operating Model and technology landscape.
• Design and deliver solutions for Source‑to‑Pay, strategic sourcing, spend analysis, supplier and contract management, order management, invoicing and payments.
• Support clients in optimizing shared service centers, outsourcing contracts, decentralized units and strategic procurement partnerships.
• Advise on procurement technology selection and provide insights on market‑leading digital solutions.
• Steer cross‑functional projects within larger transformation programmes.
• Contribute to business development by supporting proposals and scouting new market opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior procurement leaders (CPO, Head of Procurement, Transformation Lead).
• Develop and coach a team of procurement and source‑to‑pay experts.

Required profile

• 9+ years of experience in procurement projects within a consulting environment.
• Deep knowledge of procurement reorganisations, KPI benchmarking, business case development, and design/implementation of Target Operating Models.
• Experience with procurement process optimisation (Source‑to‑Pay / Purchase‑to‑Pay), technology selection, shared service centre set‑up, outsourcing and governance.
• Strong network of contacts in Swiss‑headquartered firms.
• Proven track record in business development and client acquisition.
