Director, Product Portfolio Management

About the role

The Portfolio Management team ensures product investments target the most strategic opportunities. As Director, you will lead capital planning, drive profitability analysis, and embed AI throughout the decision‑making process.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual capital planning cycle, from guidance creation to stakeholder reviews and funding decisions.
• Analyze product performance with Finance to recommend coverage levels, sunsets, and divestitures.
• Maintain the master product list and portfolio taxonomy, ensuring accurate reporting.
• Track business cases throughout their lifecycle, guaranteeing informed and documented decisions.
• Integrate AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesis, and decision support across portfolio processes.
• Partner with Finance on capital allocation, profitability, and investment trade‑offs.
• Provide resource planning insights to prioritize high‑impact products.
• Translate complex product and financial data into clear narratives for leadership and investors.

Required profile

• 8+ years in portfolio, product, or strategy management within a technology or software organization.
• Proven ability to manage cross‑functional processes and build strong relationships.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a talent for simplifying complex ideas.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred for strong financial and commercial grounding.

Required skills

• Financial analysis (ROI, IRR, NPV) and profitability modeling.
• Fluency with AI tools for analysis and decision support.
• Data‑driven mindset with experience using analytics and BI tools.
• Understanding of product, engineering, and design workflows.
