Engagement Communication Specialist – Digital Inclusion

About the role

The Engagement Communication Specialist will shape and deliver UNICEF’s Digital Inclusion engagement strategy. Based in Geneva, the role supports high‑visibility events, industry convenings and donor‑facing activities that advance programme objectives and resource mobilisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and orchestrate strategic convenings, sector events, roundtables and curated engagement formats.
• Develop and maintain an engagement calendar, stakeholder relationship management (CRM) and follow‑up processes.
• Represent Digital Inclusion at external conferences and high‑stakes platforms.
• Collaborate with matrixed project teams across Giga, Digital Inclusion and the Digital Impact Division.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools for event preparation, follow‑up and knowledge management.

Required profile

• Mid‑level communication professional with proven experience in engagement and event design.
• Ability to work in a matrix environment and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Flexibility to attend events outside standard office hours and travel as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
