English Cambridge Secondary Teacher

About the role

Mosaic School is seeking a qualified English Cambridge Secondary Teacher to deliver the Cambridge curriculum to pupils in the P9 classroom. The role involves creating engaging lessons, preparing students for assessments, and contributing to curriculum development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver differentiated English lessons that align with the Cambridge curriculum.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and public examinations, ensuring high academic standards.
• Contribute to the planning, development, and review of the English curriculum within the department.
• Provide regular feedback, reports, and assessments to students and parents.
• Participate in departmental and whole‑school meetings, professional development, and collaborative projects.
• Support school events, trips, and extracurricular activities related to English language and culture.

Required profile

• Recognised secondary teaching degree (PGCE, M.Ed., etc.).
• Minimum three years recent experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum.
• Inquiry‑ and project‑based teaching experience.
• Confident use of educational technology to enhance engagement.
• Culturally sensitive, collaborative and able to build strong relationships with colleagues and parents.
• Self‑motivated, organised, reflective and flexible.
