English Teacher for Children

About the role

Our private primary school in Geneva is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic English teacher to work with children aged 5‑11. You will create a dynamic, interactive classroom where young learners can develop confidence and competence in English.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate English lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
• Encourage oral participation, listening, reading and writing skills.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to ensure consistent support for each child.
• Maintain a caring and nurturing classroom environment.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native level of English.
• Recognised teaching qualifications and diplomas.
• Proven experience teaching English to young learners, either in schools or through private lessons.
• Ability to engage children and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
• Valid Swiss work permit or self‑employed status allowing work in Geneva.
