Finance & Accounting Coordinator

About the role

Vilebrequin, a luxury swimwear and summer ready-to-wear house founded in Saint-Tropez in 1971, is hiring a Finance & Accounting Coordinator within its finance team in Plan-les-Ouates. Reporting to the Accounting and Consolidation Manager, the role contributes to the quality of the closing process and the reliability of financial information in an international, multi-entity environment. It combines accounting, analysis and systems work.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate accounting operations and closing: act as main contact for external accounting firms, coordinate preparation, review and transmission of data, monitor deadlines and data quality, review external providers' work before submission to the Group, and contribute to monthly closing reports.
• Analyse variances against budget and reforecasts and prepare commentary on the differences.
• Follow up on local accounting, financial and tax requirements and help reconcile accounts with external providers.
• Review inventory, cost of sales and margin data, check the consistency of inventory valuation and gross margin, and investigate anomalies to their root cause.
• Monitor interfaces feeding the accounting systems, check data quality, and coordinate resolution of issues with Finance, Logistics, Production and IT teams.
• Support the Swiss entity with accounting follow-up, closing and tax matters, and collaborate with auditors and external providers.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, finance or audit; experience in an audit firm, Big Four or multi-entity environment is a plus.
• Fluent French and English, written and spoken.
• Swiss accounting experience is an asset but not essential.

Required skills

• Strong accounting fundamentals and understanding of closing processes.
• Inventory, cost, margin and variance analysis.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Knowledge of Talentia, Yooz, Orli or Y2 is a plus.
