Finance Control Officer – HQ (Geneva)

About the role

IMPACT Initiatives, a humanitarian NGO based in Geneva, is seeking a Finance Control Officer to join its HQ finance team. The role supports financial sustainability, donor compliance and strategic decision‑making across the organization’s initiatives and country offices.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary finance contact for regional finance managers, country representatives and HQ departments, providing guidance on budgeting, allocation tables and master budget management.
• Prepare, review and validate project budgets and budget amendments in coordination with regional and country focal points and the Project and Partnership Support Department.
• Conduct financial analysis, funding‑gap assessments and financial risk identification, proposing mitigation measures.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of finance policies, procedures and reporting tools.
• Ensure all financial proposals are validated before donor submission and monitor compliance with donor requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
• Experience in financial analysis, budgeting and donor compliance within an international or NGO environment.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and ability to work with regional and country finance teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to present financial information to non‑technical stakeholders.
