Finance Officer – Accounting & Operations

About the role

The Finance Officer will support day‑to‑day accounting and financial operations for the Geneva office of a Swiss subsidiary of a global business services firm. Reporting to the Regional Finance Director and the local General Manager, the role ensures accurate financial reporting and compliance with local regulations and group policies.

Key responsibilities

• Post and monitor accounting entries, including payroll, accruals, fixed assets, invoices and bank transactions.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable, process expense claims and coordinate inter‑office billing.
• Monitor bank accounts, perform reconciliations and maintain relationships with banking partners.
• Prepare regular financial reports such as receivables, activity and work‑in‑progress.
• Maintain monthly financial indicators, including working capital and compliance tracking.
• Manage VAT filings on a quarterly and annual basis.
• Support the billing process from preparation to issuance and provide client statements as needed.
• Assist with month‑end closing, cash‑flow forecasting, budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Coordinate with auditors and external advisors and respond to internal finance‑related requests.

Required profile

• Accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• Relevant accounting experience, ideally within an international professional services environment.
• Fluent in English and French.
• High level of organization, accuracy and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
