Financial Accountant

About the role

Volpi AG is expanding its Finance department in Dietikon and is looking for a Financial Accountant to support Swiss accounting activities and act as a bridge to the US accounting function. You will ensure accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting for the Swiss entity, including AR, AP, cash management and related processes.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities and prepare statutory and management financial statements.
• Coordinate group consolidation, intercompany accounting and cross‑border financial processes.
• Handle Swiss and international tax matters such as VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax and transfer pricing.
• Oversee customs and trade compliance, including import/export documentation and customs declarations.
• Collaborate with the US accounting team to align processes and support cross‑border finance activities.

Required profile

• Swiss Federal Diploma in Finance and Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting and finance within a Swiss SME/KMU (50‑150 employees).
• Strong knowledge of the Swiss Code of Obligations and Swiss tax/compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of accounting topics from start to finish.

Required skills

• Practical experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP Business ByDesign.
• Solid financial reporting and closing skills.
• Understanding of internal controls and tax regulations.
