Financial Policy Officer – Private Sector Funding & Partnerships

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks a Financial Policy Officer to strengthen its private‑sector financing portfolio. Reporting to the Chief of the Financial Policy Unit and the Financial Policy Specialist, the officer will provide dedicated policy and structuring support to the Private Sector Partnerships Division and field offices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop tailored financial guidance for private‑sector engagements.
• Design innovative financing mechanisms that align with IOM’s migration objectives.
• Support field offices in applying financial policies to partnership projects.
• Ensure compliance with IOM’s financial policy framework and UN standards.
• Coordinate with private‑sector partners to facilitate funding arrangements.
• Provide policy analysis and recommendations to senior management.

Required profile

• Open to first‑ and second‑tier candidates, including internal staff and nationals from non‑represented IOM Member States.
• Preference for qualified female candidates and applicants from under‑represented member countries.
• Professional experience in finance, policy development, or private‑sector partnership management.
