Forward Deployed Engineer - Robotics

About the role

Join Flexion’s AI Engineering team to lead on‑site deployments of humanoid robot software across customer fleets. You will act as the technical bridge between engineering and real‑world operations, ensuring stable integrations and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Own technical delivery for key customer accounts, managing end‑to‑end integration of Flexion’s stack on robot hardware.
• Lead on‑site deployments, write code, and support the software lifecycle from bring‑up to daily operations.
• Triage and resolve full‑stack issues across software, hardware interfaces, and system integration, both remotely and on‑site.
• Collaborate with R&D and Product to expand deployments and unblock rollouts.
• Capture logs, failure modes, and field learnings; feed actionable feedback to engineering.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operations manuals for customer self‑sufficiency.

Required profile

• MS in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Production‑level proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Hands‑on experience developing software that directly interfaces with robotics hardware.
• Extensive experience troubleshooting real robots and integrating hardware/software.
• Excellent communication skills for managing customer expectations.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites (~20%).
