Freelance Art Director

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Art Director to shape the visual identity of an independent music artist. The artist’s work is introspective, atmospheric and emotionally resonant, and they need a creative partner to translate that mood into a cohesive visual universe across Instagram, TikTok and Spotify.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and define a distinctive visual identity that reflects the artist’s musical and emotional themes.
• Conceptualise and pitch ideas for photoshoots, video content and short‑form digital media.
• Direct and oversee production of visual assets, ensuring consistency in mood, colour palette and narrative.
• Maintain visual coherence across all digital platforms, including Instagram, TikTok and Spotify.
• Collaborate closely with the artist to evolve the brand’s visual universe over time.
• Contribute creative concepts for immersive storytelling and audience engagement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in art direction, creative direction or visual branding, preferably within music or entertainment.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating cinematic aesthetics and cohesive visual identities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for long‑term creative partnerships.
