Freelance Software Engineer (Remote, Part‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a freelance software engineer to join a fast‑growing EdTech project. The role is part‑time, fully remote, and offers 2–3 hours of work per day on a flexible schedule. You will help shape the technical direction of a modern online education platform while collaborating with a distributed team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new features for the education platform.
• Write, test, and maintain clean, scalable code for both frontend and backend components.
• Participate in technical planning and roadmap discussions.
• Integrate third‑party APIs and manage database interactions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise application performance.
• Contribute best‑practice recommendations and modern development methodologies.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Availability for 2–3 hours per day with flexible scheduling.
• Reliable internet connection.
• Prior experience in EdTech or online platforms is a plus.

Required skills

• Modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular).
• Backend development with Node.js or Python.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
