Full‑time House Parent (Boarding)

About the role

The House Parent is the heart of the boarding community at Collège du Léman, providing a warm, supportive environment for students living on campus. Working full‑time, you will live on‑site, act as a mentor, and help students thrive academically, socially, and personally.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pastoral care, acting "in loco parentis" to ensure students' emotional, social and physical well‑being.
• Monitor academic progress, liaise with teachers and support students to achieve their goals.
• Foster a positive house culture by encouraging teamwork, respect and responsibility.
• Participate actively in student activities, leading by example and promoting a balanced lifestyle.
• Oversee daily logistics such as dining supervision, weekend programmes and occasional transportation.
• Maintain regular communication with parents regarding well‑being and progress.
• Respond to emergencies, maintenance issues or missing‑student incidents following established protocols.
• Handle administrative duties, keeping accurate records for smooth house operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children or young people.
• Proactive, positive mindset with resilience and adaptability.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English; French is a strong asset.
• Genuine enthusiasm for boarding life and student engagement.
